Role Opportunity: 

Right now we have an exciting opportunity for an Online Marketing Manager to take full control of our Berlitz Austria & Switzerland (ACH) online marketing function. The role will be responsible for the design, activation, management and performance of all online marketing activities and strategy as promoted to our customer segments and country markets. 

The role will report directly to the Austria & Switzerland Country Manager (business report) and EMEA Marketing Director (technical marketing report). The role will also liaise frequently with the regional and global marketing teams across the technical pillars of brand, websites, acquisition, product, SEO and content. 

The role will represent a center point marketing solution for our Berlitz sales, operations, product and wider executive teams when collaborating on marketing, sales and product performance for which they are also stakeholders. 

This is a highly visible role within the organization. It requires a data driven approach to planning, project management and indeed problem solving. It would therefore suit someone who is a natural leader and enjoys networking and influencing to achieve buy in across a broad range of organizational colleagues and stakeholders. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

This role will therefore suit someone who is a digital marketing specialist and is now looking to continue their career via co-leadership of a country marketing function. 

A key working relationship will be the one that exists between the existing ACH Country Marketing Manager and also the sales leadership. The need to partner daily to deliver the best lead and sales plan the business requires to achieve its revenue and profitability goals is a vital and shared responsibility. 

Primary Role Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a marketing strategy and plan of online activities for the Berlitz ACH business that includes a focus on campaigns, brand, product, project/stakeholder management and reporting. 
  • In partnership with sales – design and manage a monthly and annual lead plan to generate customer opportunities and revenue across all core segments, products, customer profiles and channels. 
  • Design, activate and manage all designated online marketing campaigns for each product that incorporates executions across audience, channel, budget, goals, measurement and tracking (end to end). 
  • Own and implement tracking as a process to analyses and report on product campaign performance (lead to revenue) against pre-defined business goals and budgets 
  • Partner with the internal and external teams, to deliver new asset development that supports campaign evolution and performance. 
  • Lead on delivery of clear positioning to craft compelling creative for new and existing advertising campaigns. 
  • Where needed, coordinate the use of external freelance experts to manage creative executions around design, content and advertising copy. 
  • Ensure that all marketing communications and activities are compliant with relevant regulatory bodies and applicable legislation 

Key Attributes & Experience: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a digital marketing specialist role(s) (core requirement) 
    • Note: the below attributes would be considered a distinct advantage: 
      • Someone with working knowledge (or with direct previous role experience) across PPC/SEA/SEM/SEO (desirable) 
      • Industry qualifications to reflect the above (desirable) 
  • Clear evidence and capability to directly manage and run digital marketing campaigns on behalf of an organization/brand. (core requirement) 
  • Digital marketing experience within the education and training industry. (desirable) 
  • A C2 level German and English language speaker. (core requirement) 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; the ability to deliver compelling marketing creative, plus professional executive management level presentations and insights. 
  • Data driven; the ability to manage data sets into actionable insights to drive decision making. 
  • Strong relationship management at all levels; influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, communicate and persuade at all levels of management, whilst thriving in a cross-functional environment. 
  • Culture fit; a highly driven team player who thrives in a high-performance environment who will bring initiative and a problem solving attitude to the role and will instill the same within their team 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or other relevant fields is desirable but not essential. Prior industry/role experience and achievement will be the core differentiator. 

Salary & Package: 

The annual salary and package will be commensurate with the profile of the final candidate as selected.
