In Japan, we say Fall is the best season for reading. Apparently, this comes from ancient China. Since nights are longer in Fall, we have more time to enjoy reading or studying.

In Japan, we say Fall is the best season for arts and entertainment. This is probably because it’s the time of year when art galleries and exhibits are organized.
A. October 31st is the day spirits of the dead come back. Since evil spirits come back as well, we dress up as monsters and ghosts to blend in with them. We also decorate our doorsteps and houses with Jack-o’-lanterns carved in pumpkins.
