Frequently Asked Questions About the Placement Test
The placement test is entirely online and takes approximately 30–35 minutes to complete. It includes several sections: vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and listening comprehension. The system adapts to your answers, so you always receive tasks that match your skill level.
The test can be taken on any modern computer or laptop. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, with a stable internet connection, and working speakers or headphones for the listening section.
Yes, the placement test can be completed on both smartphones and tablets. However, for the best experience, we recommend using a laptop or computer due to the larger screen and greater stability.
If you experience technical issues (e.g., the test doesn’t load, there is no sound), please contact us by e-mail or phone. Our support team will help you resolve the problem quickly.
The most common technical issues include:
- Pop-up windows are blocked
- Overloaded internet connection (try a different time or network)
- Firewall restrictions
Your results will be sent to you automatically by e-mail immediately after completing the test. If you don’t receive it within a few minutes, please check your Spam or Promotions folder.
In addition to your CEFR level, your e-mail will include your Berlitz level. The analysis also shows which language skills you currently possess and which courses are best suited to your level.
