Useful and enjoyable – why not both?

The main goal of summer break is relaxation and recharging. In a good camp, kids not only have fun but also learn something new – ideally without even realizing it. That’s why it’s worth looking for a program that teaches through play and experience. Well-designed English language camps offer exactly that: the joy of learning without stress, in a natural environment.

Language learning that pays off in the long run

Today, English is no longer just a school subject – it’s a key to the future, whether it’s for further education, career development, or building international connections. The earlier and more naturally a child is exposed to it, the better their chances later in life.

A well-organized English summer camp gives children the opportunity to not just memorize vocabulary but to actually start using the language. Developing speaking skills, engaging tasks, and role-playing exercises all help them communicate confidently and without inhibition.

What to look for when choosing a camp?

If you're looking for a language camp, consider the following:

Methodology

Choose a program where teaching is not frontal but experience-based and interactive. The goal is not to memorize grammar rules but to develop usable language skills.

Teachers

It’s important that experienced, engaging language teachers work with the children – professionals who know how to make learning playful yet effective.

Small group sessions

Personalized attention is key, as every child progresses at their own pace. Ideally, groups should not exceed 6–8 children.

Supplementary activities

In a good language camp, kids not only get to know English – they grow to love it. Look for programs that include creative activities, physical movement, and group games as part of the learning experience.

Berlitz – where language learning is an experience

Berlitz Language School has decades of experience organizing English language programs during the holidays. The sessions take place in easily accessible locations in Budapest and follow the international Berlitz Method – based on full language immersion.

This means that children speak English throughout the entire program – learning naturally and without stress. Younger and older kids alike expand their vocabulary and realize that language is a real tool for communication – which gives them tremendous confidence.

Different camps for different age groups

At Berlitz, program content is tailored by age group, so every child takes part in activities that match their level and stage of development.

  • Ages 7–9: Playful language sessions, songs, stories, movement-based games – they learn without noticing while having fun.
  • Ages 10–14: Communication situations, language challenges, and creative projects help them speak English with confidence.
  • Ages 15–17: Teens can enjoy exciting topics, real-life conversations, and projects that truly reflect their world.

An investment that pays off

Summer break can be both restful and developmental. If you want your child to learn through play, make new friends, and improve their English in a meaningful way, Berlitz summer English programs are the perfect choice.

The experience will last a lifetime – and so will the knowledge.
