Make music and learn English in Burg Stargard

At the Burg Stargard English camp, kids and teens can show that they have what it takes to be a rock star: instead of cramming vocabulary, we write our own songs under professional guidance – in English, of course! When we're not making music, we pass the time with sports, fun games or we go on trips around the region.

Learning English in Burg Stargard according to the Berlitz method

At our Burg Stargard language camp, we aim to give kids the confidence and self-assurance they need to speak English in a group setting. Therefore, we make sure that the learning groups are assigned according to age and ability level. Friendships often develop this way, and many kids can't wait to see their new friends again at another camp the following year.

The core focus of our Berlitz method is to use the foreign language as much as possible. We do this primarily through play: for example, by having the kids create a camp diary, play language games, or work on projects.

At our Burg Stargard language camp, everything revolves around the foreign language. We'll be speaking as much English as possible - both during lessons and the leisure program. Kids can expect the following:

  • "Learning by speaking" in small groups with a qualified counselor,
  • 4 x 45-minute classes five camp days a week.

Excitement, fun, and action: unforgettable experiences at Burg Stargard language camp

Language lessons are done for the day, but the learning is far from over: our afternoons at the Burg Stargard holiday camp are colorful and exciting. And along the way, kids will continue to practice the foreign language in a fun way. Our camp director can also speak German, for example when it comes to giving safety or other important instructions.

Almost like Taylor Swift: Songwriting in the afternoon

At the Burg Stargard vacation camp, children get their money's worth and can try out many exciting things. One highlight is definitely that we become music producers ourselves here: Under professional guidance, we learn the basics of songwriting. The children write lyrics, learn tricks and finally produce their own song. K-pop hit or love ballad? Salsa rhythms or pop song? There are no limits to musical creativity.

What else do we do? It depends on the weather and the time of year. But there's always plenty of fun and action. For example, the program could include:

  • Sports, fun, and games, such as basketball or soccer,
  • Exciting team challenges and quizzes,
  • Doing crafts or learning all about makeup, or
  • Learning songs in the foreign language.

Fun and action even after sunset

In the evening, kids can also enjoy great new experiences and play with friends new and old. If it's nice out, we'll have a campfire. Otherwise, we'll chill inside and maybe watch a movie. Here is a sample of our program, depending on the location and season:

  • Barbecuing, baking campfire bread, and toasting marshmallows,
  • Hosting music contests,
  • Organizing camp parties, or
  • Game nights and story reading.

The activities mentioned here are examples and may vary depending on dates, availability and group.

Living in style: Burg Stargard youth hostel

Musicians big and small will feel right at home here: The Burg Stargard youth hostel is housed in a pretty Art Nouveau villa and offers great rehearsal rooms with digital pianos and a large hall with great acoustics. There is not only plenty of space for making music: In the outdoor area, the kids can let off steam with football, basketball, volleyball or table tennis. Inside you can borrow board games and play billiards or foosball. Girls and boys will be accommodated separately in shared rooms.

A place to relax: Stargard Castle

The small town of Burg Stargard was named after the medieval castle of the same name, which towers 50 meters above the picturesque town. Burg Stargard is located 20 minutes south of Neubrandenburg in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. With more than 1,000 lakes, extensive forests and moors, the area is a unique natural paradise for everyone who just wants to switch off from everyday life.
