Oxford is not only one of the most famous university cities in the world – it’s also the perfect place for your English language camp! Surrounded by historic colleges, green parks and real British flair, you’ll enjoy an exciting week filled with learning, fun activities and cultural exchange. You’ll stay in a student residence with young people from around the world – and take part in English lessons in an international group. The highlight at the end of your week: a full-day trip to London!

Language training in Oxford – learning English the fun way
Here, learning English feels different: relaxed, hands-on, and actually useful in everyday life. The camp is designed for young people aged 14 to 18 who want to improve their English and enjoy a memorable international experience. Our lessons are lively, practical and taught by experienced native-speaking instructors from the UK. And the best part? No grades, no pressure – just lots of motivation and a fun way to build confidence in speaking.
A typical day at the language camp in Oxford
At our Oxford language camp, you’ll combine fun English lessons with a varied afternoon and evening program – all in a safe and supportive environment.
Morning: English lessons that really make a difference
You’ll attend 20 English lessons per week: five mornings, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., including a short break. Your lessons take place in small international groups and are based on your language level. Our native-speaking instructors from the UK make learning fun, practical and interactive – so you’ll improve your English without even noticing.e

Afternoon: Free time, new friends
From 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., it’s time to get active. Whether it’s sports, creative workshops or exploring Oxford – there’s something for everyone. It’s the perfect time to try new things, have fun and make friends from around the world.
An absolute highlight: the trip to London
Get ready for an unforgettable day in London – from sightseeing at the London Eye to grabbing street food at Camden Market and snapping selfies in front of the iconic red phone booths. A full day of adventure, impressions and picture-perfect moments!
Evening: Relax, laugh, enjoy
Even after dinner, there’s more to look forward to: movie nights, quiz games, mini disco or just hanging out together. The evenings are a relaxed way to end a fun-filled day.

Your home away from home: private room with en-suite bathroom
During your language camp in Oxford, you’ll stay in a centrally located student residence – just a short walk from the Oxford International Study Centre, where your classes take place. You’ll have your own private room with an en-suite bathroom – perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The residence is home to an international community of language students from around the world. So you’ll hear and speak English not just in class, but throughout your stay. Each floor has spacious common rooms and fully equipped kitchens.
An international atmosphere in the heart of Oxford
The residence offers a great mix of privacy and international student life – ideal for teens traveling on their own for the first time. And the best part? You’re right in the center of Oxford. Just steps away are famous sights like the Ashmolean Museum, the Bodleian Library and the historic Martyrs’ Memorial. The River Thames is only a 10-minute walk from the school – and local cafés, shops and iconic college buildings give you a real taste of British student life.
Meals included: breakfast and dinner at the residence
To keep you fuelled for the day, breakfast and dinner are included in your stay. Lunch is flexible – you can grab something with your friends while exploring the city or stop by a nearby café. And don’t forget to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated during the day.

Additional information
A German-speaking group leader will be on site throughout the camp as a reliable contact person for all participants. They’ll accompany the teens during the entire program, take part in all activities and are always available for a quick chat or support.
English lessons are taught by experienced, native-speaking Berlitz instructors based in Oxford.

For parents: We’re here if you need us
Parents receive the direct phone number of the camp director on site. Our group leaders are available during the day to answer any questions that may come up.
The Oxford language camp includes half board, meaning breakfast and dinner are provided each day. Participants should bring a refillable water bottle so they can stay hydrated throughout the day. If there are special dietary needs – for example vegetarian meals, allergies or specific dietary requirements – the team will do their best to offer suitable alternatives. Important: Please inform us before booking so we can make the necessary arrangements in advance.
The camp takes place from 27 July to 3 August.Flights to and from London Heathrow are arranged by the families themselves.
To ensure everything runs smoothly:
- Arrival:: Participants need to arrive on 27 July. We will provide a 4-hour time window for arrival before you book your flight.
- Departure: Return travel can be arranged from 3 August onward. We will also provide a 4-hour time window for departure before you book your flight.
A Berlitz staff member will be present at Heathrow Airport on the return day to assist teens during check-in and departure.
Upon arrival at London Heathrow, the group will be welcomed by the camp leader and local team. Together, they will travel by transfer bus to the accommodation in Oxford – safe, simple and well organized.
Before departure, all participants take an online placement test. This helps us make sure that everyone is placed in a group with the same or a similar language level.
At the end of the week, each participant will receive a language certificate.
