Leisure park Dankern Castle: Every day’s a new adventure
Go on a guided castle tour, conquer the laser labyrinth or slide down the water bobsled ride: If you love experiencing a new adventure every day, then leisure park Dankern Castle language camp is just the right place for you. Active kids can let off steam to their hearts’ content in the huge vacation complex that surrounds the historic castle and practice a foreign language at the same time.

Haren holiday camp: language training according to the Berlitz method
"In English, please..." is our Berlitz language camp motto. During the lessons as well as the leisure program, kids and teens will learn to, above all, speak freely and fluently. English is the official camp language. That way, kids can automatically perfect their pronunciation and expand their vocabulary.
Our Haren language camp includes:
- Lessons in the mornings (4 x 45 minutes five days a week) and
- Encouragement to speak in small learning groups.
Kids will be called on to be creative: playful learning methods, such as debates, roleplaying, or creating a camp magazine, ensure that learning is lots of fun. We will split the kids into small groups according to their language level. Kids with no previous knowledge will learn to communicate in everyday situations. Kids who already speak English can deepen their knowledge and learn to use the language practically.

The leisure program leaves absolutely nothing to be desired
Nature, a medieval atmosphere and a whole bunch of leisure-time fun: It never gets boring at Dankern Castle language camp. We’ll keep on speaking English and enjoy a playful approach to improving our language skills as we explore the gigantic vacation complex together.
Vacation fun in all weathers
The hardest decision to make at leisure park Dankern Castle language camp is "What should we do next?" Should we try the climbing equipment first or check out the carousels in the amusement park? Or maybe we can race each other down the racing water slide at the outdoor pool before relaxing on the beach by Lake Dankern.
Later we can grab some bikes and explore the enormous site. For example, we could head to the adventure park around Arkan Castle, where kids can have fun learning all about the great inventions of the Middle Ages.
Afterwards, anyone who’s feeling brave can whiz through the lovingly designed grounds on a roller coaster. When the weather’s bad, we can slide and splash around in the indoor leisure pool or let off some steam in the covered play area.
Atmospheric evenings at the language camp
You won’t be bored at the language camp when evening comes around, either. We’ll round out a day filled with fun, action and new adventures by settling down round the campfire. And if we still have some energy left, we’ll simply have a disco party, too.
The exciting day ends for participants of our Day Camps with afternoon activities at 5 p.m. But don’t worry: The next day directly starts at 9 a.m. with language training and varied activities.
Important note: The offered activities are depending on the weather, date, and availability – therefore the program may vary.

Amazing facilities: Dankern Castle Vacation Park
The perfect place for a break: With its numerous play and sports facilities, Dankern Castle is a true vacation paradise for kids and teens alike. The spacious facility is located at Dankern Castle, a 300-year-old baroque fortress with a moat. There are more than 700 cozy, fully equipped vacation homes in the park. Up to six language camp participants can sleep in a house, and each house features its own bathroom and toilet.
Vacation fun in natural surroundings
What a great location: You’ll find our accommodation in the midst of idyllic natural surroundings close to the Dutch border. Lake Dankern, the largest lake in the Emsland region, is right next door. Visitors can head to the lake to try such water sports as standup paddleboarding and pedal boating. We can also go to the long, sandy beach to build sandcastles, take a dip, and forget about everyday life. What’s more, there are plenty of other attractions in the castle’s amusement park that are just waiting to be discovered by adventurous kids.
